Approximately Ninety Flights Linked to Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airports
A review has identified that close to 90 flights associated to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly landed at and took off from British airports, with some reportedly having onboard women from the UK who claim they were exploited by the found guilty sex offender.
Aviation Records Show Pattern of Movement
The flight logs were part of thousands of court documents and files made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the previous twelve months. The review uncovered 87 flights tied to Epstein – featuring many that were previously unknown – landing or taking off from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unidentified “females” were documented among the passengers travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these flights involving the UK occurred following Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor.
“This is ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his activities in the country,” said US lawyers representing numerous Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that individual has not been approached by police in the UK, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the the Met stated they had “not been provided with any new information that would support restarting the investigation.” They added, “Should fresh and pertinent information be presented to us, including any resulting from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will assess it.”
Ongoing Document Release and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to make public every document held by the US government in relation to Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to comply. Hundreds of thousands of files are projected to be made public.
In a related development, a federal judge ordered last week that the department could publicly release investigative materials from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s long-term associate, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
