More Than a Straightforward Remake: A Complete Overhaul

This project represents a from-scratch reimagining of the seminal 2000 RPG, initially known as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a notable departure from other Dragon Quest remakes, such as the previously released HD-2D versions, this version embraces a charming three-dimensional art style. Environments have been crafted to evoke intricate model sets, with protagonists featuring a delightful toy-like design.

• Adjustable Combat Pace: Players have the option to speed up battle sequences to quickly get past less challenging encounters.
• Expanded Vocation System: One completely new vocation has been added for this reimagining. Additionally, characters now have the capacity to take on a second vocation, greatly enhancing strategic possibilities.

Such alterations seek to mitigate a key the 2000 title's frequent criticisms: its daunting playtime. That original adventure was known to require over 100 hours to see through. This new version was expressly designed to improve pacing and cut down on perceived filler.
